# What are Expert Ranks?

In order to let our best experts earn more, we created a rating system on Studybay. Each expert, from a novice to a hardcore professional, will have a rank on Studybay.

Don't worry, the ranks system is made exclusively for the experts - these ranks cannot be seen by Studybay clients.

An explanation of the ranking system is available [here](https://studybay.app/authors/levels), but we'll try to get into more detail in this article.

There is a total of 5 ranks on Studybay: **Newbie, Brainy, Mentor, Mastermind, and PRO.**

Each rank can be attained by completing tasks listed on an expert's [Ranks page](https://studybay.app/authors/levels).
As soon as you achieve a new rank, your task progress is reset, and new tasks are given to you for the next rank.

Here's a breakdown of all the requirements and benefits for each rank:

1. **Newbie** is the rank each expert gets upon getting approval to work on Studybay.
